ABOUT
YOUR HATTER:
C.J. Landers
I started my love of hat-making in my early teens. Being an avid cowboy action shooter (Maverick SASS #92789) I set out to have a custom hat made that fit my personality, only to learn that at 14 years old, I didn't quite have $600 to spend on a custom hat, but I had $300 and a summer job.
With that first summer job paycheck, I purchased a steamer and some vintage hats and began to teach myself. Then as it always goes, I ended up spending triple the money in the long-run, but it was well worth it. That paved the way for a career field that I never could've imagined was possible. From a little one-man restoration shop, to heading west and crafting hats for major motion pictures, TV, and famous horsemen and exhibitors all over the U.S.
Now over a decade later, well-versed with experience, and lots of traveling, my business aims to create hats for everyone: from fashion to practicality, reenactors to different disciplines, everything from the arena to the open range...
